Mar. 11--NATION MOURNS LOSS OF CAPTAIN AMERICA Captain America is dead. Marvel Comics super-hero Captain America, published each decade since first appearing in 1941, was killed in Wednesday's Captain America No. 25 and fans are in shock. "I'm just reminiscing about the guy," said 29-year-old fan Enrique Duran Jr. "I remember collecting some of these characters back in the 90's and when 9/11 happened he was on the cover, saluting. Now that I find out he's dead. Wow."
