Mar. 11--When it kicks off Saturday, the 22nd annual Zia Gymnastics Academy Spring Invitational will have a distinctly Northern New Mexico flavor. Teams from Eagle Nest and Los Alamos will join Zia gymnasts in the academy's gym at 1517 Pacheco St. in Santa Fe. About 50 competitors, ranging from high-schoolers to preschoolers, will compete at the event. The meet should provide a welcome change of pace from the rest of the spring meet schedule in New Mexico, which tends to be dominated by teams from Albuquerque.
