NEW YORK -- More and more Americans are suffering from dry mouth, because of disease, age orthe side effects of common medications. Whatever the cause, an inadequate flow of saliva can cause problems ranging from excess plaque formation or bad breath to difficulties in eating or speaking.
"The incidence of dry mouth is increasing, because of the proliferation of medications that have dry mouth as a side effect," notes Laclede Inc. vice president of marketing Kasey Soll.
