The College Art Association recently presented its awards for distinction to artists and scholars at its annual conference, this year held in New York. The Frank Jewett Mather Award for art criticism went to Village Voice critic Jerry Saltz. The distinguished lifetime achievement award for writing on art went to UC-Berkeley professor emeritus James Cahill. The Alfred H. Barr, Jr., Award for excellence in museum scholarship was given to Teresa A. Carbone along with Barbara Dayer Gallati and Linda S.
