NEW YORK - A Manhattan accountant was indicted on grand-larceny charges and sent to jail on Rikers Island last week for allegedly stealing over $4 million from three men's clothing and sportswear companies here.

Manhattan district attorney Robert M. Morgenthau charged CPA Stephen Schor stole the funds from Andre Romanelli Inc., Andre Romanelli International Inc. and Van Gils International Inc. between 2000 and 2004. The three firms, which are all still in business, are owned by Irwin Peters. His business partner in Andre Romanelli International is Peter Lohman.
