NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE )--Jan. 17, 1995--Robert Redford and Showtime Networks Inc. are taking a leadership role in creating and launching a 24-hour, commercial-free television network dedicated to independent films, the Sundance Film Channel.
The channel promises to offer the most extensive and diverse line-up of independently produced films available, showcasing independent features, foreign films, documentaries, shorts, animation and experimental films.
