Mar. 13--Penn coach Glen Miller is one of four former Connecticut assistants under Hall of Famer Jim Calhoun whose teams will play in the NCAA tournament.
The former Brown coach will join Howie Dickenman of Central Connecticut State, Karl Hobbs of George Washington, and Dave Leitao of Virginia when the tournament begins Thursday. Ironically, their mentor's Huskies did not make the field of 65. "It says a lot for the opportunity that he gave us to get into college coaching and what we learned from him," said Miller, the first-year Quakers coach, who worked under Calhoun for seven years.
