Mar. 13--JASPER -- Standing ovations, praise from a chorus of local officials and fried catfish gave an East Texas welcome on Monday to representatives of a Dallas-based company that will bring an estimated $18 million in investment and more than 200 jobs to the area in coming years. Tiger Truck officials announced that Jasper will be home to its new truck assembly plant, even while local officials continue to push for added incentives to make the company's stay in Jasper as economically comfortable as possible. Calling Monday "Jasper's Day," Tiger Truck president Michael Ward touted the mutual benefits for the company and the city. ...
