WORCESTER - City Manager Michael V. O'Brien has unveiled his Task Force on Homelessness - almost one year after he told the City Council it would be named within a month - and also said that its meetings will not be covered by the Open Meeting Law.
The city manager will ask the task force to hold public hearings to gather input. But he asserts that the press and the public do not have to be allowed in to the task force's deliberations so the group can "review, discuss and formulate solutions in an apolitical environment."
