BARRE - The Barre Library Association, which maintains the landmark Henry Woods Memorial Library building that was damaged by flooding in October 2005, has received a $2,500 emergency assistance grant from Athol Savings Bank.
"We are truly grateful to Sam Hokkanen and the Athol Savings Bank for stepping forward now with this offer to help," said Ann E. Meilus, president of the Barre Library Association. "It is the first step on a long journey back for the Barre Library Association and our library and we look forward to the participation of many others along the way."
