Eastern Europe should abandon plans to host U.S. missile defense - Russian air force commander
MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax-AVN) - Commander of the Russian Air Forces Gen. Vladimir Mikhailov has said that he hopes that NATO members states in Eastern Europe will give up their plans to deploy elements of the U.S. anti-ballistic missile defense system on their territories.
"I think that everybody understands that this deployment should not go ahead," he said at a meeting with military attaches from foreign states in Moscow on Tuesday.
