NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT Alvarez "Sarge" Lafleur, 94 formerly of Riverside Drive, died Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Matulaitis Nursing Home. He was the devoted husband of the late Mary Rose (Pelletier) Lafleur. A lifelong resident of N. Grosvenordale, he was the son of the late Arthur and Albina (Dumas) Lafleur.
Mr. Lafleur was a baker for Duffy's Bakers and Caterers for 52 years. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. He volunteered for the Community Fire Department and Ambulance Service for forty years, retiring in 1985. He was a World War II Army veteran and member of The American Legion.
