GRAFTON - Holly is a survivor, and despite a painful three-week encounter with a padded leghold trap and the amputation of her left front leg, the dog has a promising future.
That was the assessment yesterday by both Lt. Alan Borgal of the Animal Rescue League of Boston, who helped in the three-week search for the abandoned dog first spotted in Barre Dec. 16, and Dr. Scott Shaw of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, who has overseen the dog's medical care since Monday.
