SUTTON - The town honored a bit of its past, preserved a bit of its past, and looked a little bit toward the future last night.
The Board of Selectmen dedicated its meeting room to longtime Selectman Wally Johnson, who died last year. The board unveiled a plaque on the wall of the room that pays tribute to Mr. Johnson's 39 years on the Board of Selectmen.
Selectman Michael Chizy said Mr. Johnson's dedication to the town made last night's unveiling appropriate.
"He made the town what it is today," Mr. Chizy said.
