BARRE - Worcester Public Library trustees will vote next month on whether to continue allowing patrons of Barre's Henry Woods Memorial Library to borrow materials remotely via the popular interlibrary loan program, the city's head librarian confirmed last week.
A decision made last year by James K. Knowlton, Barre's librarian, to refuse fiscal 2007 state aid resulted in the institution's decertification by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. The state board governs municipal libraries. Institutions that do not apply for the state aid, or that are ineligible to apply, automatically lose their certification.
