The existence of a spectacular archaeological artifact was announced to the world four years ago: a small stone box called an ossuary and inscribed with the name of James, the brother of Jesus. Since then, controversy has swirled around the ossuary, with scientific analyses indicating that at least part of the inscription is a modern forgery.
