"Because I Said So" is not a very good film, and yet it has enough things going for it that mothers and their adult daughters will likely have a good time watching it. It won't be for the ridiculous plot, or the unnecessarily bawdy humor - but because there are enough moments that will ring true, they will be able to make a connection.

Diane Keaton stars as Daphne, a mother of three who has spent most of her life alone. Two of the daughters are married (Lauren Graham, Piper Perabo) so that Mom can focus on Milly (Mandy Moore), the youngest, who runs a catering service. Milly has not had great luck ...
