Gardeners have a love affair with spring flowering bulbs. The tulips, croci, daffodils, hyacinths and other spring bulbs brighten the landscape of many New England yards. By flowering as they do immediately after a dreary winter season, it is understandable why these bulbs are planted and enjoyed. However, there are other bulbs that can add lavish beauty to gardens, yet they are currently out of style. Too bad, as the summer flowering bulbs have a display value all their own.
