The news came down last week: I am officially, and I suppose eternally, unhip.
You can't imagine how this hurts. I am 47, but I still rush to the store many Tuesdays to grab the new CDs. I know that Gnarls Barkley does not play for the 76ers. I wear hoodies. I have satellite radio. I can say "peace out" and "dawg" and "it is what it is."
I even subscribe to Entertainment Weekly. C'mon folks: What more do you want from me?
But none of that spared me from a very uncool reaction to the fiasco in Boston last week, when devices attached to prominent Hub landmarks essentially closed down the city.
