Mar. 14--Hudson's Music from the Western Reserve series always features Northeast Ohio musicians. Usually the performers are established professionals, but a recent concert presented the first musician in its Young Artist series, violinist Caroline Goulding. At age 14, Caroline has already won first place in a violin concerto competition at the Aspen Music School and Festival. Caroline's recital March 4 with the excellent pianist Alicja Basinska showed her promise and poise in a well-chosen program of classical pieces that also included lighter works and a newish piece, the Graceful Ghost Rag by William Bolcom.
