Mar. 14--When the NCAA bracket was unveiled, Lachelle Lyles couldn't contain herself. Just the matchup she'd hoped for -- and in a weird sort of way, expected. Not Southeast Missouri vs. Oklahoma. More like Lachelle Lyles vs. Courtney Paris. "She's a great player," Lyles said. "I'm looking forward to the challenge." Understand, Lyles isn't calling out Paris, a consensus All-American who is a candidate for national player of the year honors. She's not suggesting she'll stop Paris, or that she'll do much scoring. But Lyles might just have the edge in one big category when the 14th-seeded Redhawks meet the third-seeded Sooners ...
