Mar. 14--Members of the Fleetwood School Board responded enthusiastically Tuesday night to a YMCA offer to build an addition containing athletic facilities onto a proposed elementary school.
The YMCA of Reading and Berks County would construct an indoor pool and fitness center in the school the district is planning along Crisscross Road in Richmond Township.
"The idea is fantastic," school board member Richard G. Bardsley said. "It's great. It's something outside the box."
The YMCA would pay for the facilities and share them with the school district.
