Solid carbide cutters mill aluminium faster.(CUTTING TOOLS)

WNT (UK) Ltd has introduced solid carbide cutters that have higher cutting speeds and feeds for machining aluminium than conventional tools.

The cutters (the 93033 series) range in size from 3 to 20 mm diameter and feature a single grind geometry with no relief angle. This provides a sharp, stable cutting edge, delivering much higher machining speeds and feeds than conventional cutters, the company says.

The improved performance is also helped by the specially designed geometry and helical angle, which enhances swarf evacuation.
