Mar. 15--Virginia Tech's forestry department received high praise from a national journal ranking universities with the top forestry programs in North America.
The peer-reviewed study was conducted by Auburn University and published in the Journal of Forestry. It measured schools by their reputation among peers and their scholarly impact based on the number of publications and scholarly citations by their faculty.
Tech finished second in peer perception and third in citations and publications. While no overall ranking was published in the report, the sum of Tech's rankings was less than the sum of any other university. The ...
