Mar. 14--VICTORVILLE -- Before they even rode their horses into Victorville, Andi Mills and Edie New got a taste of High Desert hospitality.
The two women from Abbeville, S.C., riding from coast to coast to raise awareness about strokes, found themselves trekking across pure rock in the middle of the desert. Using their cell phones, they were able to reach a farrier from Hesperia to come out and adjust the shoes of
Jericho and Whiskey, their equine companions.
