Mar. 15--Lans-Bowl Lanes, a landmark bowling alley and popular hangout in Lansdale for more than six decades, was destroyed by an early morning fire that forced the evacuation of several homes and the closure of three schools Wednesday. No injuries were reported in the four -alarm blaze, which started at around 4 a.m. at 606 E. Main St. in the Montgomery County borough and kept firefighters working for more than nine hours. Fire officials released little about their investigation, declining to say whether they believed the fire was accidental or suspicious.
