Parkinson's disease is well established in the elderly. However, a growing number of Americans are now being diagnosed with the disease before the age of 40. Michael S. Okun, MD, Co-director, Movement Disorders Center, University of Florida, Gainesville, and Medical Director, National Parkinson Foundation, Miami, has studied young-onset Parkinson's disease extensively.
