Mar. 18--CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Robinson Cano might have a hard time improving upon his 2006 season. It's tough to climb higher than the .342 batting average Cano recorded last year in his second season in the majors. Along with that average, which was third-best in the American League, Cano drove in 78 runs in 122 games and was named an All-Star for the first time. His on-base plus slugging percentage of .890 ranked 17th in the American League, sandwiching him between Toronto's Vernon Wells and Texas' Mark Teixeira. Not bad company to keep.
