Mar. 18--Addison Taylor was a joyful servant -- for God and for his community. This is how those who knew him define the life of the Blacksburg man who died Feb. 27.
"He believed in serving people. He believed in loving them," said friend Tullio O'Reilly. "He wanted to change them not for change's sake but to help them change because they wanted to change."
O'Reilly knew Taylor through his church's volunteer work with the Spiritual Roots Ministry Food Bank that Taylor started in 2000. O'Reilly, who is a member of Dwelling Place Christian Fellowship, said Taylor never questioned, judged, or turned away the hungry.
