Dhaka, Mar 18 (UNB) - Proshika, a leading NGO of the country, has so far distributed over Tk 5.26 crore among the family members of its deceased group members and those who were affected by river erosion, flooding, draughts and other natural calamities.
Of the total amount, around Tk 3.07 crore was disbursed among the family members of 5,087 deceased group members while over Tk 2.19 crore among 13,243 calamity affected group members from the compensation fund of Proshika Savings Scheme (PSS), said a press release on Sunday.
Besides, it distributed Tk 12.49 lakh as education scholarships among 237 meritorious children of the group members from its Economic ...
