Mar. 19--A week ago, Jody Goodwin sat at the Port Isabel Federal Detention Center for about four hours hoping to talk to the more than 90 undocumented immigrants from Massachusetts being held there. "They never brought them to me," Goodwin, an immigration attorney, said. Goodwin is helping to represent the immigrants held at the center after she was contacted by an attorney in Boston who knew of her pro-bono work.
"It took me two days to finally get to speak to them," Goodwin said.
