Jon Soine of Windermere Real Estate recently was elected president of the Whatcom County Association of Realtors.

Soine, a Realtor since 1983, has been active in local and state real estate organizations. He also has earned the Certified Residential Specialist, Accredited Buyers Representative and Graduate Realtors Institute designations.

Other WCAR officers for 2007 are: Mark Brown, Windermere Real Estate, vice president; Don Elliot, John L. Scott Real Estate, secretary; Janet Armstrong, Peoples Bank, treasurer; and Peter Roberts, John L. Scott Real Estate, past-president.
