Chittagong, Mar. 20 (UNB) - The weekly tea sale here Tuesday witnessed a strong demand mostly emanating from the Internal Loose tea buyers especially for the cleaner varieties.
There was also fairly good support from export buyers mainly for Pakistan, according to a market report.
Blenders were also quite active and as a result, most teas sold at higher prices with hardly any withdrawal.
There was a strong demand for Dusts particularly the CDs.
CTC Leaf: 25,768 bags, 43 chests and (176 bags of old season), on offer met with a strong demand at mostly dearer rates and withdrawals were much less.
