SYDNEY, March 21 Asia Pulse - Telecommunications group SP Telemedia Ltd (ASX:SOT) says it's in a strong position to keep growing after posting a lift in first half profit.
Net profit for the half year ended January 31 was $A10.06 million ($US8.07 million), up 288.5 per cent on the previous first half.
The company, which trades as SOUL, said earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) almost doubled to $27.8 million, from $14.2 million
The company said once tax benefits and losses from its B shop business were factored in, the underlying profit was $12.5 million, a 52 per cent increase.
