Amsdell Cos., a real estate developer based in Middleburg Heights, is nailing down two big deals totaling $52.5 million to boost its self-service, mini-storage warehouse business.
Amsdell was scheduled to wrap up last Friday the purchase of 14 complexes in eight Florida cities from Lennar Corp., a publicly traded, Miami-based home builder and real estate developer. Amsdell will pay $20 million for the complexes, said Robert Amsdell, the company's chairman.
Meanwhile, Amsdell also is set to complete by Aug. 31 the $32.5 million purchase of eight similar properties from Hanson plc, a London-based conglomerate that owns Glidden Co. in Cleveland. Five of the ...
