Mar. 21--TWIN FALLS -- Ho hum. At least that's the way College of Southern Idaho head baseball coach Boomer Walker put it as the Golden Eagles nearly shut Malaspina University-College out on the day.
The Eagles defeated the Mariners 7-0 in Game 1 and 8-1 in Game 2 during a midweek doubleheader at Skip Walker Field on Tuesday.
"It's tough to get up for, but we got some good at-bats and innings on the mound," Walker said.
Freshman pitcher Trent Johnson put together a solid seven-inning outing during Game 1, picking up the shutout. He allowed only three hits as he walked none and struck out five. Most Mariners ...
