The idea behind Tropicana's new Healthy Heart orange juice began in Greenland, thousands of miles from warm sunny orange groves. In the 1970s, a group of Danish researchers sought to find out why so few Inuits died of heart attacks despite eating high-fat diets. The reason, scientists discovered, was fish and seal oil, full of what we now know as omega-3 fatty acids, which studies suggest reduce the risk of heart disease.
