Currently the longest serving warden in the Correctional Service of Canada, Jim O'Sullivan's extraordinary character and phenomenal achievements earned him the distinction of 1993 Warden of the Year by the North American Association of Wardens and Superintendents (NAAWS).
O'Sullivan entered the corrections field through the back door, responding to a newspaper advertisement for a carpentry instructor at Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert. O'Sullivan, an experienced journeyman and certified carpenter foreman, soon felt at home teaching inmates.
