This column, reprinted from The Day February 6, 1994, is based on conversations with the editor-in-chief of Pravda during a visit of Russian journalists with the New England Society of Newspaper Editors in January 1994 in Boston, and in Moscow in November 1992.
PRAVDA EDITOR-IN-CHIEF Shod Muladjanov's expectations for a free, democratic society and economy have proven too optimistic. Even naive.
