Mar. 23--The Jai Lucas Derby took an interesting turn Thursday with the announcement that Tubby Smith is leaving Kentucky to become the head basketball coach at Minnesota. Lucas, a highly sought-after standout from Bellaire High School near Houston, said Thursday afternoon that Smith's departure "kind of does and kind of doesn't" change his decision-making process and that all four schools -- Kentucky, Maryland, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State -- are still among his options.
