Mar. 21--"We are world-class," said conference speaker George Martin, whose Borton Petrini LLP law firm put on the discontinued Bakersfield Business Conference. "You are going to see a place that a few years ago nobody could have ever imagined.
Martin challenged executives in attendance to continue to market, promote and help shape the city's image.
"If we are going to change the image of Bakersfield it is going to be done by people like you," he said. "We've got to take our assets and creatively sell and market them."
