SOME court cases may be held exclusively in Welsh with no English translation, the Lord Chancellor revealed yesterday.
Lord Falconer told how he was considering the move as he visited a new court complex in Caernarfon. It would mean that every member of a jury - in some cases - would need to be fluent in Welsh.
At present, cases heard in Welsh are translated into English for the benefit of English jurors, barristers and judges. But the Government believes important nuances in testimonies may be lost in translation.
