WORCESTER Carol L. (Mannix) Daley, 98, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in the Odd Fellows Home. Her husband Michael A. Daley died in 1972.
She leaves a son, Michael J. Daley of Worcester, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Carol was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Cornelius and Lucy (Carroll) Mannix and lived in Worcester all her life. Her sister Mary Mannix died in 1983, her brother, John Mannix died in 1995, and her sister, Elizabeth Shanahan died in 1998. She was a graduate of South High School and Worcester State College. Carol was a teacher in the Worcester Public Schools for 26 years, retiring in 1973. After some substitute ...
