BOSTON - With the game - and their season - on the line, the Bruins came unglued in the third period last night before a Canadian national TV audience and a near-sellout crowd of 17,026 at the Garden.
The Montreal Canadiens hit the B's with a four-goal lightning bolt in the final period, turning a one-goal Boston lead into a deflating, 6-3 Montreal victory that all but fried the Bruins' fast-fading playoff hopes.
