Firefighters equipped for emergencies in high-rise buildings and the potential for resort lighting to sully the work of the nearby Mount Palomar observatory. Those are two of several concerns San Diego County officials have laid before the Pauma Band of Mission Indians.
The Pauma band wants to replace a temporary casino with a $300 million casino-resort on its reservation 10 miles east of Interstate 15 in North County.
