IN THE EARLY '70s, Steve Kottman and Dave Sanderson met while on the rowing team at Long Beach State University. They began building a few guitar cases for musician friends using rudimentary homemade vacuum mold equipment in Steve's parent's garage. Three decades later, SKB, the company that they launched from that garage, is a world-leading case supplier with factories in the U.S., Mexico, and China.
