What's going on in the music industry these days is a revolution, not an evolution. This is according to Thomas Hesse, president of the global digital business and US sales at Sony BMG Music Entertainment, during an onstage interview at Digital Music Forum East in New York.
It's a much more fundamental change, he said, than going from tape cassettes to CDs; there are many more products now and many more income streams.
