Imagine bellying up to the bar, slapping down a ten-spot and snarling, "Double scoop of Chardonnay on a sugar cone with rainbow sprinkles!"
Jim Derway intends to make it happen.
"We have a window of opportunity here," said Derway, the general manager/flavor designer at Mercer's Ice Cream in Boonville. "This is a new product, a brand new concept."
The concept? Turning wine into ice cream.
