In one of the Cape’s most beautiful nature reserves yesterday, nearly 100 riders were wrenched out of the annual Absa Cape Epic mountain bike race.
The eight-day 886km race between Knysna and Cape Town began on Saturday with a gruelling 101km climb through the Outeniqua forests and down into Uniondale in the Little Karoo.
