Mar. 27--After an automobile accident a year ago left Bruce Speers' body shattered, it seemed natural to turn to the water for rehabilitation. An Apopka man who had been a competitive swimmer in his youth, Speers broke a hip, both ankles and three ribs.
"Essentially, I couldn't put any weight on my legs and hip for three months. I had to learn to walk all over again."
